what is aba therapy?
Welcome to NBBS, an in-home ABA therapy private practice in Las Vegas, NV. We specialize in providing play-based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services to support children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other developmental challenges. Our dedicated Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA®) is committed to helping children reach their fullest potential by combining natural environment teaching and play-based learning.
At NBBS, we prioritize creating a nurturing and inclusive environment for children with ASD. Therapy sessions with NBBS are designed to promote meaningful connections between your child and their surroundings, fostering skill development and independence in real-world situations.
We offer flexible options for therapy tailored to meet your child’s specific needs. Through natural environment teaching, we utilize your child’s natural surroundings, such as home or community settings, to facilitate learning and the generalization of skills. This approach ensures that your child develops crucial life skills that can be applied beyond the therapy session.
Learn Through Play
Play-based learning is an integral part of our ABA therapy programs. We believe that children learn best when they are engaged and enjoying themselves. Skill providers with NBBS incorporate purposeful play activities into therapy sessions, making learning fun and motivating for your child. We target various developmental areas, including communication, social skills, adaptive behavior, and cognitive abilities.

Assessment & Reports
We conduct a comprehensive assessment to gather information about your child's strengths, needs, and problem behaviors. This assessment involves interviews with caregivers, direct observations, and the use of standardized assessment tools. It helps identify target behaviors for intervention and determine the underlying factors contributing to those behaviors.
Behavior Intervention Plan
Based on the assessment results, we develop a behavior intervention plan (BIP). The BIP outlines specific strategies and techniques to address the target behaviors and promote positive behavior change. It includes clear and measurable goals, intervention strategies, data collection methods, and criteria for evaluating progress.
Data Collection & Analysis
ABA therapy emphasizes the systematic collection of data to evaluate the effectiveness of interventions. We collect data on the target behaviors and relevant environmental factors using various methods such as direct observation, checklists, and rating scales. This data guides decision-making and allows for ongoing adjustments to the treatment plan.
Intervention & Teaching
Our BCBA® therapists employ various strategies, including reinforcement, prompting, shaping, chaining, and modeling, to teach new skills and address problem behaviors. They systematically break down skills into manageable steps and provide opportunities for practice and generalization across different settings. Positive behaviors are reinforced, while problem behaviors are addressed using appropriate behavior management techniques.
