values

how we do it

We base all our coaching, teaching, recommendations, and training on the latest scientific research. Our approach is grounded in Four main frameworks:

ABA

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA): ABA helps us understand how we learn and how behavior can be changed. It explains how we develop new behaviors, decrease unwanted behaviors, and how our environment influences our behavior. At NBBS, we do not provide direct ABA therapy but refer to the methodologies and strategies within ABA research to make them more accessible for parents and educators.

ACT

Acceptance and Commitment Training or Therapy (ACT): ACT combines elements of ABA and psychology, with a focus on mindfulness and diffusion. It has been shown to help individuals overcome depression, transform emotional pain, break free from negative thinking and self-judgment, and reduce anxiety.

NDBI

Naturalistic Developmental Behavior Intervention (NDBI): NDBI is a play-based approach that focuses on teaching toddlers and children skills based on their developmental age. It emphasizes the early development of a child and equips parents with effective strategies for teaching new skills.

PBS

Positive Behavior Support (PBS): PBS utilizes research-based strategies to increase the quality of life and decrease problem behavior by teaching new skills and making environmental changes. It prioritizes valued outcomes that align with an individual's preferences in natural everyday settings.
